i have 3 eggs under my broody. 1 has hatched on day 21 but other 2 we are on day 23 and still nothin

The hen is a sussex (I was told she has white leghorn in her lineage but i dont see it).

The chick is from my sex-link red hen and my mixed rooster of unknown parantage (possibly RIR and some Australorp)... Curious to see what the chick becomes as I can see black and whitish feathers emerging on the wings

Yea, so far i am completely baffled but loving watching my mummie and her chick ... I need to think of a name for him/her. Have to make it work for either sex i guess lol

With my last batch of chicks, the rooster was obvious within about 4-5 weeks. He crowed at about 6 weeks. So you may find out the sex of your chick before you know it!
