I have 7 broody hens at my house!

I could send you some bantam wyandotte eggs

Thank you for the nice gesture but I will have to pass. I just don't have anymore room for more breeds right now.

"Gee, it sure is strange that everyone else's chickens are going broody and not mine." (Think it will work?

Makes me happy to hear you have so many broodies. It means that my chicks from you have the broody genes.

7 at once is a bit much though, even I will admit that.

A broody or two is fine, but seven is a little over the top! I am going to have to do some serious rearranging and just might have to try and break a few of them. Sigh... I love watching the mamma hens with their babies and it makes raising/brooding chicks so much easier. I just can't handle this many at once though. There's just not enough room or accommodations for all of them here.

Omigosh, you should have seen my Glenda, Suede's daughter with my Buff Brahma. We sold her first batch of chicks at a week old. She looked for those babies for two months! I'm serious, she kept going back to the broody pen to see if they were there. Broke my heart! Last year when she hatched more, I let her keep them. I won't ever do that again to one of my sweet girls.
