I think Cockerel is the name of a young rooster...

Here are their names:

Legend (young rooster)

Poopy Butt (she’s not anymore! The name got stuck...)
Salt
Pepper
Peggy Sue
Butter
Colina
Lace

All different types of breeds, except salt and pepper. I let them out for a short period of time recently out of a chain link fence, so I guess you can say free range? I live in the farmhouse so we get coyotes and lots of hawks/eagles. I’ll stay as close to them as possible.

They are my babies!

LOVE that first photo! You have some beautiful birds.

It is tough to guard against all the predators. I hear coyotes singing all around some nights, and there are plenty of hawks, eagles and owls out here, not to mention possums and minks.
So, keeping a watchful eye is totally necessary, as you know. But watching your chickens enjoy a little freedom is great, isn't it?

Welcome to you and all your flock!
