I wouldn't have believed it, but I seriously have a chick who wants to be a pet. [IMG]

It might be the same one I was holding a couple days ago that fell asleep in my hand... I'm not sure.
    It was funny. [IMG]

This morning I went out to visit the chickies. (They sometimes come when I call them now!)

The little ones came in first. I was leaning against my brooder. Several of the smaller chicks were sitting on the top rails of it. Then one of them started looking at me. Then it hopped over while continuing to look at me, and flew up to my shoulder! This is a 3 week old chick btw.

I thought it was funny. Just to see if it was a fluke, I put her back down on the brooder and pet some of the other chicks.
Within a few minutes she came back over hopped onto my leg, then flew up to my other shoulder. Then she wouldn't let me put her down. LOL I decided to band her so I can tell her apart fromt he other chicks. I also brought her in for some cuddle time since she seems to like it.

And she's still hanging out with me now. [IMG]

Anyone else have a chick decide on their own they wanted to be friends?

Anyone have any guess what breed she might be?

[IMG] So do I. I have a about 10-12 week old Self BLue OEGB and he is the friendliest chicken I have had. He will fly up right on you when you are feeding and watering. He is very sweet.

How sweet! I am not good at guessing breeds, but she does look just like my white leghorn chick.

Is your white leghorn chick cream colored?

LMBO! That looks and acts exactly like my little white EE! You describe mine perfectly. I've named hopefully her "Betty". No doubt she'll turn into a roo though. She's the sweetest of my 11 almost 2 week old chicks. This little chick makes my heart sing. Roo or not, Betty is staying.

Check legs. My white EE has green legs. It might be an EE if you have those. Otherwise I would say Leghorn too.

    Nope, no EEs.

When I bought them I was told Buff Orpingtons... But I'm not convinced.
