DH and I were running errands and we happened to be near to this place his dad said had muscovies all over the place. So we drove over, parked and a nice lady came outside and we explained how my drake was killed this summer by a mink and I had 2 lonely ladies.

She had adults, juveniles and ducklings and wanted to know if $4 was too much!

Needless to say I am now the happy owner of a white juvenile drake born this spring so he's about the same age as my gals. We put him in a coop on the other side of the fence from the gals and when they saw each other this morning, it seemed to be love at first sight.

I am so looking forward again to ducklings in the spring.

(These duckss will no longer have night pond access to avoid that nasty mink, too.)

Here are a couple pictures of my new white muscovy drake. He and the ladies are getting along just fine. [IMG]

Last night the ladies slept on the deck railing as usual while he slept on the deck beneath them.
