I have bugs in my food!

I opened a bag of food Thursday for my chicks. I put the food in a sealed container. I opened the container and found little brown bugs.Has anyone else had this problem

How old was the food? Mfg. date on the bag.

It may be weevils. I have seen those in feed in the hot summer weather before from a certain national feed store chain that recently closed in my area. The weevils would not be harmful to your chickens, but make sure that your feed is fresh dated and that there is no mold or funny odors. You should be able to get a refund on it if your return it.
