Wow!! Four of eight have a pip! [IMG] No further progress in any of them since this morning - is that normal?

    Thanks

Well one just went to town and hatched - what hard work! He is moving around - very clumsily, and chirping like crazy - I'm hoping that's a good sign.

How long until they get their legs figured out? LOL!

I'll keep you post and have pics later....

Thats a good sign and his chirping will help the other chicks in the eggs hatch...Give him a few hours to get his legs under him and for him to dry out...don't open the bator he is fine.....

I know not to open the bator - but how long can this chick stay in there waiting for the others to hatch?

    Thank you,

They can go 2 days without food or water, after that i would be concerned.
