Hello to all. I am so excited to find this site.
I am new to chickens. Well, not really new. I grew up with chickens and even had some after getting married. But somehow this is different. We jjust finished the coop and pen. I'll try to post a pic. I have 20 chickens. I have 5 black austrolorps, 5 production reds, and 10 silver dovewing bantams. I raied them all from day olds and they are now about 12 weeks old and I have moved them out to the pen. I live in East Texas where it is very HOT and HUMID. Todays high being 103.

It's hot and humid everywhere, lol! Give them lots of watermelons.

You've got a nice flock of chickens.

Can't wait to see pics!

When it gets really hot, I like to get the water hose and set the sprayer to "mist" and mist the chickens.

I also have small holes cut out in the soil where they can cool off underneath the trees and alongside the house.

Hello from OHIO! And welcome! WOW, that is really HOT! Do you get the humidity down there in Texas? Here in Ohio, it's not as hot but terribly humid.

Anyhow, glad you joined and share pictures if you can! (I've never seen a silver dovewing before! Love to see one!)
