    I'm sure this is covered elsewhere, but I couldn't locate it.

    Are there any hatcheries that will sell just a few birds. I only know a few people that I can split an order with, and none of them want more than a couple new birds.

    Also, you might call around to local feed stores and see who will have chicks in Fed/Mar. Ipicked up 3 BO pullets at Orschelin's last year.

    Ideal has a well known program allyou need is a minimum order of 20$ , Meyer hatchery does it as well. But all of them may include packing peanuts= usually male chicks for warmth and comfort
