I know its a rooster, but breed?????

Discussion in 'What Breed Or Gender is This?' started by jcopeland29710, Feb 23, 2016.

  1. Can you determine a breed just by looking at it? Any ideas on this rooster?

I lost my rooster and a couple of girls a week or so ago. I am looking to replace the roo so my remaining girls have some protection. This is a pix of a roo I am considering( off craigslist and I, yes, I have been researching all the quarantine and health troubles to to look for). The owner is not sure and I am still asking question to get more information. Just thought I would throw this out to see if any of the experts here have a clue of the breed.

He looks mixed enough no specific breed jumps out from that pic. For your situation, I'm thinking temperament is more important than breed anyway, so I'd evaluate him on that. He's pretty, that's for sure [IMG], but that's kind of a secondary consideration.

Very beautiful rooster.[IMG] I agree with donrae, if its a gentle and nice rooster matters the most.[IMG]
