I know this a dumb question

    But do roosters molt? Mine has lost all his tail feathers and half of them on his neck...

    Yep, all birds molt.

    I have a white leghorn hen who is doing that right now...........it is only 9 months old.....is that possible?

    In my experience, they do a sort of mini-molt at about 9 months old. The big one comes at about 18 months and it can be rough!

    I think mine is doing the mini molt - all he beautiful tail feathers are gone and half his neck is naked. He looks funny.
