With lots of predators in PA, dh is always on top of the population to protect our chickens and wilds during trapping season.

Here is a grey fox and a red fox from this week..

Thanks. No, he doesn't do the full body mounts, although he used to years ago. He only does european skull mounts now and send the furs to our taxidermist down the road. The gray fox is on her way there now. We only get random ones mounted and typically sell the pelts for trapping supplies and lures. One year he caught over 30 coons on our property. Needless to say, we close up every coop secure each and every night.

Yeah, I screwed up and accidently left one of my girls out in the run. I'm sure it was little contrary she never goes in when she's supposed too. Anyway, she got eaten by a fox. They are beautiful when they aren't tormenting the chickens. Tell your DH good job!

I sure hope we don't ever get fox here because I don't think my hubby could kill them [IMG]. They are adorable and that makes them hard to kill...especially for us. BUT on the other hand...IF they were attacking my chickens I think we could do it.

Good Job Charlie! Foxes are cute aren't they. Too bad they love to kill chickens.
