Chickens are not very forgiving are they? They rather nag and complain., a lot like children.[IMG]

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You have two beautiful birds. Your Araucana is actually an Easter Egger (true Araucanas have tailless rumps). A number of hatcheries in correctly market their Easter Eggers, which are actually hybrids that produce colored eggs, under the labels Araucana or Ameraucana (often misspelled). If you're not familiar with the difference, there is a good article at http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html explaining the difference between Araucanas, Ameraucanas, and Easter Eggers. Our Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorite chickens. She loves their colored eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
