I love my new hobby

    Chicken raising is something that my family has been doing as long as I can remember. I however never had any interest in it until about a year ago when I rescued 4 hens and 2 roosters from my daughter.

    Something to think about...if you want to keep 2 roosters, you need more girls in your flock. 1 rooster can handle 8-10 hens, otherwise you run the risk of the girls being overbred by the boys.

    This is Duffy my Cochin/ silkie baby that thinks it's a dog he stays in the house at night. He is something special to me. My house burned last November and my 3 dogs died in the fire. He has been a blessing to me
