I know I feel brand new. When I saw how many new members you get each day, I thought I'd better hurry up & introduce myself.

I have had my 6 "hopefully-hens" for almost 2 months. I inherited them at 2 months of age, from my daughter's family.

Here's what I think about what breeds I have inherited (subject to revision based on input from BYC members;):
1 Silverlaced Wyandotte, 1 Goldenlaced Wyandotte
    2 EEs
2 ???s they are white with funny stiff green things where some chickens have ear tufts

(I spent last night making a home page about my chickens & chicken coop)

Besides my new backyard family, I love drawing greeting cards, & crochet (already starting on Christmas gifts)

I am a Registered Nurse with a hard-working background, trying to not work so hard by teaching part-time (found I love teaching, when it goes well).

I have already been welcomed by several members when I posted on the "what breed" thread, & I hope to become a valuable member of BYC as I learn more.

Thanks to BYC & those who make it possible.
