I had a rotisserie chicken carcass and i tossed it into the run today without thinking much.. Actually, i thought protein,,, that's good.

Now i'm wondering if they can pick up diseases etc from it. Did i just give them
"mad chicken disease"? or some such caniballistic beastie?[IMG]

Nope . . . they'll be fine and love the protein. There's few things chicken love more than chicken. [IMG]

After I'm through simmering my chicken and turkey bones for a day or two for stock, I throw them to the hens. The bones have softened up and they actually eat them. I guess that's a good way to get minerals!
