One of my bantam cochins has gone broody so I aquired three fertile Aracauna eggs and put them under her, four days later I got a couple more and did the same. Now what, Im hoping I can take the first ones out as soon as they hatch and keep then warm and safe till the other ones hatch then return them to mom, have I made a mistake in my excitement of us both being first time chick moms?

NOPE - - you are good to go.

My broody hatched out her first check and sat on the remaining eggs for another week.
She sat on them until I through them out.

So, what I am saying is that you might not have to remove the hatched chicks while she is hatching the remaining eggs.

I have only done this once, so others should respond that have had more experience than me.

Thank-you, my concern is the nest she insisted on is 3 feet up, so when and if the chicks jump/fall out i'm worried momma will follow and abandon the remaining eggs. I guess I'll just keep an eye out for falling chicks!
