I need help!! Chick hatched today!!

I've been incubating some eggs which hatched while I was at school today. One chick has stuff from the egg all over him and its dried onto him. What do I do? Get a Q-tip and wipe it off as best I can or something? Its all stuck to him and i'd appreciate some help!

If you have other chicks pipping leave the chick in the incubator he will be fine til your hatch is finished....He will most likely dry and fluff up on his own...

but thats the thing...he is dried! Its all hard and stuck to him.

If you have other eggs pipping it is best to leave him in the incubator til your other chicks hatch out...Opening your incubator can cause the temps and humidity to drop and can hurt the others pipping...You can always clean him up well when your hatch is done...

Your welcome, trust me he will be fine....you hurt the other pips if you open the bator too soon....
