so my 5 boys came home from grandmas with baby chickens (38 to be precise) and a duck for which I had no clue how to care for thanks to the many posts on here I have managed to keep them alive thank goodness however I am having some trouble because we are completely uncertain of the ages of these sweet baby chicks which is making I difficult to care for them could anyone maybe help us thanks so much

Chick care is less about the exact age of the chick, and more about the level of development. For example, when you move them outside to a coop depends on how well they are feathered. As long as they have adequate food, water, and are kept warm enough; chicks are pretty easy to care for. Just make sure they are warm enough. If they are too cold they will be all huddle together. If they get too warm they will start panting. Clean the brooder when they can't move without stepping in poo. They will need more and more space as they grow. They need enough room to stretch out and run around a bit. Also, the bigger the space, the less you have to clean it.

That pretty much sums it up!
