Last fall I decided to sell my chickens and focus on raising pheasants. Yup, that was my plan. Bought a vintage bator big enough for 500+ eggs ready to start production. Pheasants weren't laying yet due to the weather conditions but a local swap meet was selling chicken hatching eggs. Can anyone guess what's in my bator??

An emu egg would be totally cool! I've read that someone has on incubating right now - something like 51 or 56 days. Who could possibly wait that long?!

Good luck with your, ahem "pheasants".

When my wife was *incubating* our first born I considered asking her that question .......

..... on the other hand, the prospect of 8 months sleeping in the shed was sufficient deterrent
