Please help me out. These 2 are about 6 weeks now. Any ideas?
The lighter Barred Rock on the left is a cockerel. The darker one on the right is a pullet.
Thanks Michael. Didn't know the breed either.
Just got a new frizzle chook and is the same age as my other chick )aprox 3 weeks old) and my other chick (named Pig) is apparently a frizzle pekin bantam. But my new one (lets say its name is white just for ease). White is much bigger than Pig and White has a small Wattle coming through and haven't seen Pigs wattle but haven't checked recently.
White is much bigger than Pig and can't have a rooster.
Any clues to breed and sex?
White has 5 toes, is very active and jumps and flys around the place, still cheeping, white skin, and white frizzy feathers (I do know White is a frizzle), seems to have grey chick fluff and growing the white feathers, feathered feet.
Light one is a cockerel, dark one is a pullet. Both are hatchery-quality Barred Plymouth Rocks.
The light one on the left is a Barred Rock cockerel. The dark bird on the right is a Barred Rock pullet.
"White" is probably a Sizzle (a Silkie/Cochin mix). Unfortunately, I think "it" is a cockerel, based off the large red comb and wattles.
X3 on that. Sorry. (
