I too have feral cats around mine and I have to stay outside to watch my girls when cats are around

I think a cat will kill a bird if the opportunity exists. When I was after a fox I caught a couple of feral cats. They never bothered my birds but my birds are well protected. The fox killed a bird while she was out. I was out too but it sneaked in and got her when I was distracted.
