I was driving to a friends house up a mountain and this little red fox kit ran, more like hopped, along the road. I first thought it was a squirrel. It must have been following its mother because it looked healthy and well fed, not including happy.
I just had to look up kits on the internet and I came across this photo:

    What
    type of fox is it?

oops.. the kit I saw might have been a grey fox.... It was a fox though.. I'm sure of that:D

It must be an artic fox. Red foxes come in differant color phases life black or white but i think a red has bigger and more pointed ears. I seen a pair of greys recently driving home after work.

When I was keeping a few horses at a training center in NJ, the infield of the racetrack had a big drainage culvert, and there was a family of foxes in there. They were just about the cutest things you've ever seen. When the horses would gallop by, they'd all crowd around the opening and just watch. Once they got a little bigger they'd get brave and stand outside and bark.

Geez, they were just so cute.
