So I have 5 Bourbon Red turkey eggs in my incubator. We set 3 of them on 2/27 and then the 1 on 3/1 and one on 3/2. This is our very first hatch, so we just got excited and kept throwing more eggs in there! So our of the first 3, two of them have very nice veins going

and the 3rd, I think has a blood ring, :hitbut not completely sure. The other 2 that are a few days behind, I "think" I see the beginnings of veins in the yolk, but not sure...
Hopefully I won't screw anything up for the next 3 weeks! Soooo long, sooo long.

I'm already collecting more of their eggs (only 2 so far, but they've been laying one a day). So maybe I'll do another batch which will mean I need another incubator...

hate to waste eggs. Before I locked My turkeys up, I was finding just a few eggs a week. I was setting eggs in incubator a few days apart rather then setting up more than one incubator. It seems to be working. I hatched three yesterday with three runner ducks. I took them out this morning so I can feed them and lock down for the next group of turkeys, ducks and geese due. I now have six incubators going. I just love these little guys.
