i somehow acquired 2 runaways and i have questions. please help

i was thinking like when i started vaseline-ing their feet... at first they would fight me. now louise sticks her feet straight out and lets me do it. so maybe if i get one in the run and bring her to the greenhouse, then go back and get the other one, they'll be the same and think...ah! if i let her pick me up, i'll end up in the giant pot warm room.

also. i looked (not measured) the distance between the run and the back of the greenhouse and it has to be more like 9 or 10 feet?

what do you mean? like give myself someplace to walk? it'll be in the way of something no matter where i put it. that's why i need it to be temporary. it'll cut off access to the husband's shed and he will just stomp on whatever is in his way. he doesn't bother to look where he's going

I went through a period where I had to get my chickens to walk from A to B each morning.
I managed it by holding a fresh corn on the cob and running. They just ran after me!

i wish that was a guarantee for me! they're being very picky about what they're eating now. i don't know if it's the change in the weather or what. they are eating the feed just fine. but they are more interested in seeds at the moment than any other food or treats.

i've been trying to work this out this whole time. i'm wrecking my own head. maybe if i sleep on it, it will be better in the morning.

the ideas i'm getting involve changing the run. which i can't do and keep chickens inside while i am doing it. haha! plus undoing a big chunk of what we just built seems really frustrating.

i *did* say out loud to the husband "i wish i could just extend the run." which i thought would cause a big argument. but he just sighed and said "draw a picture of what you're thinking." lol!
i told ya! he likes them!

and i hope i can explain this with words...
i could get him to agree to a sort of T shape extension.

so if the bottom of the T was where the run wall is. then it came out to the top part of the T so it would be partially overlapping either shed. the big shed up to the window and the little shed up to the door.
i'm not making sense i don't think.
but it could just be a timber frame and hwc and i could keep the front of the run as is. just have a second door.
