    Hi Everyone!!

I've been lurking for a while and posting for a few days, and I decided I should probably introduce myself.

My name is Sherry. I grew up on a ranch in the mountains of Wyoming and have always had livestock, with the exception of a short period during college. We sold everything but my Haflinger mare and moved to 13 acres of raw land in Missouri two years ago. There I added goats and guineas to my herd. After over a year and a half of living off-grid in a 5th wheel camper in the woods, we decided to buy a little house only two blocks from where I work as a computer technician. My DH has decided to return to college and the campus is just behind our tiny cottage. I sold all the critters and am (mostly) happily planted on our new little place. We have three lots and our city has pretty lenient livestock laws.

So we're settling in and I'm making plans for rabbits, hens, and Kinder goats. It's an interesting challenge to try to fit everything I need on a 57x150 lot, but it's kind of fun. Sort of like a puzzle. Anyway, the rabbits are coming first as meat is definitely our biggest expense. Then a few hens are in the plans. I had Black Australorps in Wyoming and thought they were beautiful, but I like Speckled Sussex as well.

Anyway that's a little about me.

You can see pictures of our little place at www.half-pinthomestead.com
