    We don't know til we know.... So I'm asking haha. What the heck is this? Little V shaped above their tail.

    I think it is where their solid body meets their tail where it moves like a pivot point.

    No expert as I don't hatch ducks (yet :lol:) but I believe that is it's 'preen gland' but, like I said, not an expert. Gorgeous little paddlers though, congrats...:love

    I agree. This is their oil gland. They will put their heads on it and rub. Then rub it on other places on their bodies to start making them water proof. Congratulations on the new babies @Bookworm0124!

    Oooo I love being right about something. :wee I am a certified chicken nutcase but I am seriously considering expanding my nuttiness into ducks. They are just so darned cute.....
