I Think I have A Hen Sitting

So I have two roosters in my run with my ladies and lately one of them has been hoarding eggs and sitting on them in the coop. When I try to move her, she will not leave the eggs and I've marked them to take any new eggs that are laid there. I marked about a dozen eggs and one has been there several days in the heat and hasn't spoiled so I'm hoping it's fertilized. Am I doing this right and does it sound like I may have a new baby chick on the way?

Could be! Does she sit there pretty much all day? She may fluff up and kind of growl at you when you take eggs, and she may even peck at you. Might be a good idea to invest in an incubator in case she changes her mind, though. Good luck!

Oh ... and you really want all the eggs to hatch about the same time, as she may abandon any that haven't hatched once she has chicks ready to leave the nest.

Shes pretty much always there. She doesn't growl but she will peck a little. Also, all the eggs aren't hers because I have about 17 chickens
