I think I have a silkie roo...

I have the most beautiful, sweetest silkie ever. And I think she's a he. Compared to our other silkie, s/he is a lot bigger, has a more upright tuft, a visible comb (see below), and is very vocal. HOWEVER, s/he is 4 1/2 months old, and there's no sign yet of a crow. Not even a beginner crow, just a lot of "bawwwwwk bak bak bak bak..." Am I in the clear, or might s/he still start crowing? What's your latest crow date? I love him a lot and would hate to give him up!

Yeah I think it is a roo. Sometimes they crow when they are 6 months old.

I would guess a he and he is gorgeous! I love his colors! Mine started to crow at 4 months.

I'm going out on a limb and saying it's a hen. The color says hen. If you look up Patridge Silkie rooster and compare the colors, you will see what I'm talking about.
