I think my rooster is having seizures...

So I noticed quite a while ago that my rooster (now just about a year old) may be having seizures, or so we think.
He will just be walking in the yard when suddenly he will stop, stare off into the distance and then release a vary long, high pitched shrill... then he will snap out of it an continue on his rooster way.
Has anyone else experienced this with their chickens or rooster? Anyone have any ideas as to what he is doing?

Roosters will frequently do this when they think that they see or hear a predator. Whatever the reason, it does not sound like a seizure.
