Uh Oh I think our Silver Laced Wyandotte that is 2-3 weeks old is a cockerel. I noticed yesterday that most of the chicks are beginning to get the start of their combs. We supposedly got all pullets at Rural King. On most of them their beak point up to their ridges looks almost diamond shape. I joked with my husband that they are getting Bajoran nose ridges (Star Trek reference). Well little Dotty does not have slight ridges there are full blown comb bumps like a little rooster. Thinking I have a little boy :) We live out in the country so no regulations against roosters. I already hear the neighbor's roosters 1/2 mile down the road :) I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

Here is a close up of Dotty's little comb. We are thinking Dotty needs a boy name. What do you think?
