Here is a picture of my newest flock. They are about 9 weeks old and one of them seems to be more developed than the others. Can I assume she is a he? The chick in question is a RIR.

That is definitly a roo. That is if your talking about the second one in from the right with the big comb. lol

How can y'all tell so easily from a blurry picture? It could be a pullet that is developing a larger comb. Is there a way to get an individual and clearer whole body picture of the bird in question?

Our Roo actually developed slower than the girls. They, all 15 of them, had full head of feathers and he still had the fluffs. He was larger and ran all discombobulated also. It was very obvious to me.

I'd like to get a clearer picture but they are, well, chickens. They see me coming and run around trying to hide. I had a pretty strong feeling about him and was just looking for confirmation. Thanks everyone!
