Diamond Peno
Songster
I have 3 beautiful Olive Eggers. The Roster is SO pretty he has a multi colored spotting coat or it looks that way to me. We call him Hawkeye (Hawky) I have brown one who has tufted feathers on her head BUT her back feathers are starting to curl. Her name is Pocahontas (or punky) And a white creamish hen names Dreamcatcher (Dreamy) she is super sweet and really laid back. She loved cuddles an will sit with me for hrs. I do animal education things as in go to places like Purina Days and local fairs, set up in my backyard or at my parts bait shop and teach people and kids about the wonderful world of animals and how to care for them properly. She would make I call them Animals Ambassador for her kind when I am doing these things. Hawky would too as he is super gentle but a little hyper. Punky is really hyper lol. My hubby said she looks like road runner with her funky feathers on top. I do call her my little road runner chicky.
When weather is nice as I live in PA. they go outside with my Bantam Silkie Hen Poof Poof. she is teaching them the ropes... they are to small to go with the big flock now as the hens won't bother them but the roster's try to ride them and they are to small. Plus some of the ducks are larger and a little bossy lol. But next month they will since they get along with Poof good go in her little set up in the big coop so everyone can get along. Poof does go with the larger guys but whenhen roos get rowdy with her as in mounting to much I put her in a smaller pen. Even though they all get out to free range and can get in the small pen set up, they don't lol.
I would like to know if there is a proper color term for his coat markings/colors as well as the girls.
So what do your Olive eggers look like, and how do they act?
