I was looking into raising ducks but was wondering what the demand on ducks are and what breeds are going well on the market

Where are you located? I think that would be one of the main factors.

Have you checked your local Craigslist, city Facebook yardsale page, ads at feed stores, etc, to see if many people in your area sell ducks? I'm guessing you mean meat ducks, right? I know around here, there's a pretty good demand for duck eggs, but not so much for meat ducks. Some people sell Muscovies for meat, but I'll see their ads on Craigslist for forever, trying to get rid of the same few ducks.

If you have a local tractor supply I would go there. They have the most popular domesticated ducks. Pekins, rouens, mallards, runners and khaki cambells. I would get pekins, since they are very friendly and sociable. Pekin are the most popular duck breed.
