I was told that these were ameraucana pullets? Any ideas on breed or gender?

The single comb worries me the most for being a cockerel since its comb is so red. Both birds have fairly red combs and splotchy coloring. They are definitely Easter Eggers, not Ameraucanas.

How old are they?

I'm not even sure they're EEs. Neither has bearding nor a pea comb (#2 has what looks to be a rose comb). I suspect barnyard mixes. Possibly they have a clean-faced EE rooster in the flock. That would be the hail Mary shot at blue eggs...

also both have yellow legs....my guess is both cockerels.....and for sure barnyard mixes....but they will be pretty when fully feathered.

We were told that they were three weeks old?

They look at least five weeks but I was hoping you'd say 3-4 months because then you might at least have pullets. That much comb and wattle before 12 weeks is a strong sign they're cockerels.

Id love to keep them but I already have two roo's so i guess the next step is to find these two a new home.

Yep, that red of comb that young and they're cockerels.
