I was told this is a Barnevelder but it's white?????

    Hi everyone, I hatched this little chubby cutie a few days ago, I got him from a farm that breads barnevelders. I've never seen a white one before, is it normal to get white ones?

    I don't know enough about Barnevelders to be able to tell you if it's a normal occurrence or if they occasionally carry recessive white that would cause something like this, but I bet if you asked over in the Barnevelder thread they'd be able to tell you :)

    There is a white variety of Barnevelder (very uncommon), but whether or not your chick is a White Barnevelder, I have no idea.
