I was told this is a Delaware

    He's trying, but he doesn't have the mandatory yellow legs.

    Agree. The white/pink legs is usually a hallmark of a light Sussex in this color, but this bird looks to have actual barring, so that would mean Delaware or barred Rock blood somewhere.

    As stated above, he's not a pure Delaware.

    Not a pure Delaware. Probably a Delaware mix.

    Ok. He looks good and came into the flock smoothly. He'll make a good rooster I guess. I've read some about Delawares and I had been wanting one. We will see what happens when he breeds my hens. Thanks for the help
