I was told this was a laying hen. (UPDATE)

    He crowed this morning. I really want to keep him because he looks really cool, but I can't keep him seperated from the others. However, I did find him a new home to free range on that is 11.5 acres.

    I think it's a rooster. He/she has these really pretty, long neck feathers and a tail that kind of stands way up. Very bullish and kind of skinny to be a hen. Any takers?

    Whoever told you that was a laying hen told you a whopper! That is a roo...Looks like he is going to be pretty.
