I wasn't going to set eggs again this year.
    I really wasn't!
But then came ChickenStock- which was one awesome day! And there were Maran eggs in the Silent Auction. No one SAID they were bringing maran eggs, so i wasn't looking for them, but there they were on the list. And at the very last minute, I put in bids for both Cottage Garden's and HappyChick's maran eggs. Because.
Because my Other Half thought they were cool looking. And my DD's hubby told her she could bring home a chicken that laid those red eggs.
Even though I really didn't want to incubate again, to keep the men happy, I put in bids... and won both!
So we got the LG out of the closet, fired it up, and tonight I added the 19 eggs plus a bunch of my blue EEs from the last 3 days.
I am SOO nervous! The other batches we hatched, I could- and did- ignore. These I HAVE to ignore because I can't candle them! Can't candle the marans and I can't see a darn thing in my blue eggs, either!

It's gonna be a LONG three weeks.
