Ice Cream Bar Chicken Eggs are a cross between Cream Legbar and Swedish Isbar (pronounced Ice Bar) chickens. Both lay blue green eggs. The offspring of these chickens are docile, hardy and friendly. My hens have been laying regularly since mid summer. The eggs you will receive will be anywhere between a pastel mint green to a turquoise. The colors are quite vivid at times, but at others they will be lighter. I believe it may have something to do with the forage choices and the time of year. I photographed the eggs next to a Barred Plymouth Rock egg with normally is a beige color. The eggs are medium to large sized compared to a supermarket egg. I would say the eggs are quite a bit darker than the photos in this ad, I don't Photoshop my images, but every monitor displays colors differently. The pointed ends are quite defined so you should have no trouble determining which end goes up in your incubator.
One Egg - $5 plus shipping - Minimum 3 Eggs - Minimum price for this listing is $15 for the 3 egg minimum plus Priority Mail shipping to your location. I am on the west coast.
My chickens forage on my property where I do not use pesticides or herbicides. They are supplemented with a quality organic layer feed and have access to plenty of fresh clean water with apple cider vinegar (organic). They are healthy vigorous hens and active roosters and the rooster ratio is 1 to 4. Pullets that hatch from these eggs are crested and some are not. I've attached photos of the pullets and cockerels that hatched this summer. Some are crested, some are not, I think they are attractive birds, and they certainly are very sweet and great pets if you have children.
