Just took some pics out the front of the house - it looks pretty, but I have to go out in that later to drive my son to town for work (hope I make it there and back).

First, the free range chickens and ducks - hiding in the garage, the ducks are loving this.

now just some random pics of various directions...

try to find the poor cardinal in this last pic [IMG] (eta - since the forum made the pic smaller, you can't see him, I guess, he's in the tree in the foreground)

Quote:Thanks, that's the first coop I had - I have another coop down the hill in the pasture from it - it is a 3 cell coop - 8 foot by 24 foot altogether. (each cell is 8x8)

The free rangers and ducks live in that coop. The dog house was supposed to be for the ducks (and they went into the chicken run you see at night) but they insisted on moving in with the chickens, so I let them.

Quote:[IMG] naw, the roo is a Delaware, and most of the hens are light Brahmas, I also have a few white rocks in there - but they are BIG girls and a HUGE boy. I can't wait to get my delaware pullet chicks in March. I swear Mr. Speckles (the Del Roo) is at least 8 or 9 pounds.

Quote:Haha! The first time me and my dad went to visit, he saw that coop, then the house, and asked which 'house' they lived in!

We aren't quite as icy over here, but there is mud everywhere!

[IMG] one of our neighbors told me once that the house he grew up in wasn't that fancy. And that was before I added the porch roof and the porch lights.
