Icy ramp

I wouldn't use salt or they will be eating it. Saw dust would work.

The ramp going into the big coop ices too since no sun hits it so I had some scraps of poultry fencing [the plastic kind] I stapled it down to the ramp to help keep them from stepping out and slidding down. It was funny to watch them slide but also worried they might get hurt.

I did the same but when we get snow it turns to ice and the roof shingles get covered in ice it works on my coop across from the big coop but this one gets melting. The big coop doesn't and the roof shingles get slick and the furring strips haven't helped much other than when they step on them their feet slide down to the next one.
What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. lol
