ID chicks

It has come to my understanding my chicks are hard to tell apart at first glance, so I plan on using twist ties. My question is can i put the tie above the back toe so it doesn't slip off.

I don't see why not, but I haven't tried it.

Of course, make sure that they aren't on too long as to constrict the growth of the chick!
