I got my chicks and keets a day early... yippee!! I've had the brooder ready for days.

I got fifteen chicks (Brahma, Silkie, Sussex, Welsummer, Black Sex-link, Buff Orps, Americauna and Wyandotte) and five Guinea keets. I ordered one Brahma Roo and the rest are, hopefully pullets. I know that they can't sex the Silkies so I'm hoping at least one of them is a Pullet.

    Here's a group picture...

Here are some individual shots, I didn't include all of them ... too many.

My favorite already.. a blue silkie -

I think this is my Partridge silkie (has five toes) -

    Pearl keet -

    Lavender keet -

The rest of these I'm not sure about ...

Too cute! Brahma's are the one breed I still really want. Gotta wait for next spring. [IMG] How are the keets? I have 15 (yikes) shipping next week to coinside with some hatching eggs. I'm really excited about the keets - really hope they do their job in the garden. [IMG]

chickensista - I've only had them for one day. The keets are adorable and very sweet... at this point. I'm expecting that to change - at least that's what everyone tells me.

We hold them a lot and they don't try to get away anymore than the chicks at this point.

Check back in about six months and we'll see what really happens with them![IMG]

Thats my plan - lots of attention. I'm cautiously optimistic. Excited and at the same time hoping they don't turn into some evil roaming gang of guineas. [IMG]

Did they email you to tell you they'd be early? Or did it just take one day to ship instead of two? I'm curious because mine are due to be shipped on the 14th from ideal...anxiously awaiting them!!!

Fourth pic from the bottom looks like a Speckld Sussex and that lavender keet is gorgeous.

WOW! Very cute chicks and keets! (BTW, what are keets? and what do you do with them?)

Congratulations on your new additions. I know you have been waiting to add to your flock. [IMG]
