Ideal poultry welsummer a

Two weeks ago I ordered welsummers from ideal, and I know hatcheries don't breed to the standard, but does anybody have pics birds or eggs from ideal stock? I have purchased Marans from them in the past, and the we're good layers, with dark and speckled eggs! I just hope that they will lay relatively dark eggs.

Sorry - I don't have any pix., but my 2 Welsummers are very pretty birds with golden colored neck feathers. They lay dark brown speckled eggs, are good layers. I got mine from Mypetchicken.com
There are several blog spots & images online for this breed, also good info. here. Sue

Thanks for the info, I'm glad they are somewhat close so the standard. I was just afraid they might lay cream colored eggs!
