I cant remember when they are due... eggs "look" like the chicks take up 1/2 the egg but not sure when to take the turner out... will it hurt them to leave it in/on?

The only worry is that the chick will get caught in between the turning... *SQUISH* Not good... [IMG]

I had a duckling hatch early and the duckling ended up laying against the turner motor. The motor fried one wing of the duckling. The duckling survived but with only one wing. [IMG]

If you put them in on the 3rd, then today is lockdown. I would remove the turner and put the eggs in egg cartons and add some water for correct humidity for hatching.

I would hate to have to clean the turner what a mess that would be.

Just remember most turners have a motor, and it generates a lot of heat... if you take it out or turn it off, the temp in your bator may drop. Keep an eye on it.
