I posted this in nutrition but I think this may be a better place to post. I called the feed store and the game bird is for sure available but at the 13.5% protein is that enough protein for my layers? they will of course have free oyster shell available at all times.
Im trying to switch to a feed with animal protein and this is the only thing I can find locally (besides whats available at TSC) what do you guys think? Im not impressed with whats available at tsc though that's what im currently feeding for lack of a better option. Do you think these feeds may be better than dumor/purina?

I've heard a lot of great things about the Gamebird feed from people with BIG chickens. Seems to be a fav among Orp people. If I could find it here, I'd probably try switching.

This feed is cheaper than what I get at tractor supply. I don't remember exactly but it's about 15 bucks plus it's a 50 lb sack instead of the 40 lb from tsc
