"It" (thats what we call it)
French black copper maran
over a 1 year old
Crows
clucks like its going to lay an egg
gets broody, for an hour
has hen feathers
lets a rooster mount
has never laid an egg

"It" is a yard ornament
Has never laid an egg
crows
has small spurs
has wattles
never spars/fights with others

We thought at first that she was just a big hen, ever time introduced to the pen, "It" would got to the top roost and stay there.

Will "it" ever lay an egg?
Is there anything I can give to help egg production
I'm thinking a hormone imbalance or "It" has some male parts

They crow, grow spurs, and stop laying eggs.

Some hens crow and still lays eggs, but some stop laying.
