Thank you 1chickenmagnet for my new chickens!
The 3 girls are 5 wks old and 1 is 8 wks old. They don't know how to climb into the coop or how to get out in the morning. Of course I'm scaring them when I help them do this! What do you suggest?
Thank you.

I just started allowing my 3 1/2 week olds out of their coop a few days ago. Its a good idea to leave them locked in coop for a few days to a week so they are totally comfortable with new home. Then if you have a secure run attached to your coop just open the door in the morning and give them time, then they will learn how to go in and out on their own. The first day it took mine a couple hours before they left the ramp, they sat in the doorway and just took in the new world and if they heard a noise they ran back in to the coop. But they got it figured out now. My little chicks are growing up
