I just bought a used LG incubator.
It has a turner and fan.
I want so badly to hatch some eggs, but I am "chicken".
    Well, intimidated actually.
I am doing my research but I just feel almost over-whelmed with info.
Can someone help with simple instructions?
I do not have instructions with my bator.
I am one of those people that learn better by seeing it done.
    What is the best thermometer?
How do I check humidity....what water sorce should I use?
I want to be prepared before:| I put any eggs in this thing!
    Thanks for any help.

I am about to experience my first hatch, I have one trying to work it's way out RIGHT NOW!! Pretty Cool stuff! Don't be intimidated. Temp between 99.5 and 100 degrees, humidity around 40-50 percent until day 18 then 65-75 percent until they hatch out. It is a little stressful the last few days, but cool. If you are storing eggs for a day or two before putting them in the incubator store them big end up and tip them side to side once or twice a day. I am by no means an expert (but hope to be soon) but things seem to be working now. When I started (with 10 eggs) if figured the worse thing is I would loose one big omlete if this did not work, or I could end up with 6 or 7 new chickens to add to the flock. I had only 1 out of 10 eggs that did not show signs of development. If you look through the Incubating and Hatching eggs section on here, all of you questions will be answered, or do like I did keep asking questions as things progress. GOOD LUCK!!!!
